What is "Third World Enterprise"?

Third World Enterprise is a group of people who make games.
We make board games, low profile computer games, and outdoors games.
Third World Enterprise (aka 3WE) was founded in 1985.
We are a non profit organization, we don't want to make games to make millions.
If we make a small amount of money... well, that's ok :-)
Our object is to create games, and try to make them either free or very low cost.
I've been with 3WE since it has been created. In fact I came up with thecompany name & logo.

But what does "Third World Enterprise" mean?
we are named after a fictional supply company, created for a war game (as a board game).
we required an independent source to purchase tanks, planes, you know...war stuff.
so we needed a third party factory. The "Third world" part was in case we wanted to have a war in space.
"Third World" is a reference to the third planet to our sun,Earth :-)
The game its self (map wars) never made it big in our eyes, but a few years later,
we asked permission from a large corporation for use of copy written material.
They replied by reminding us that the material WAS copy written :-(
and they did not let third parties get involved. (This is what clinched the name!)
