Not exactly a vstrom topic, but since we mostly only use them on the vstrom, it fits the misc page.
We got the Chatterbox cb50w driver to passenger communicator intercom, along with two open-faced microphones for our full-faced helmets. The system worked perfectly for our budget, but the microphones quickly fell apart (see photo). We replaced them under warranty with two full-faced microphones, but they don't have foam over the mic, so there's a lot of wind noise in one, and in the other, the microphone hole is covered and you can barely hear the person. So I am going to have to do some out-of-warranty modifications one of these days. :-(
